いなごが飛んでる (romanized: Inago ga Tonderu, English: Locusts Are Flying) is a song by Japanese dub/rock group Fishmans. It was one of the first songs Shinji Sato ever wrote, having appeared on 1987's 時間 bootleg performed by Sato's band before Fishmans. At that time, the song was titled いなごの唄 (romanized: Inago no Uta, English: Locust Song). It also appeared alongside Special Night on 1989's Panic Paradise, the first studio appearance made by Fishmans. It later appeared on the band's first album, Chappie, Don't Cry as track 7.
[VERSE 1]
I'm here to play
I'm here to play
Yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah
It's okay to take a holiday
It's okay to take a holiday
Yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah
[CHORUS 1]
Lady, I'm running
To catch your message,
because I want it
Lady, I know
Exactly what I'm doing
Peanuts laid on the table
[VERSE 2]
Holiday, after being away
Holiday, spent with you
Peaceful holiday
I'm sorry I'm always so busy
So busy, so busy
[CHORUS 2]
Ya, ya ya ya ya ya, ya ya ya ya
Locusts are flying
Ya, ya ya ya ya ya, ya ya ya ya
Take a look at the sky!
[VERSE 3]
I've been trying to call you
It's always the same
Answering machine, answering machine
Answering machine
[CHORUS 3]
Lady, I'm running
To catch your message,
because I want it
Lady, I know
Exactly what I'm doing
Peanuts laid on the table
[VERSE 4]
Holiday, after being away
Holiday, spent with you
Peaceful holiday
Holiday, after being away
Holiday, spent with you
Peaceful holiday
