ずっと前 (romanized: Zutto Mae, English: Long Before) is a song by Fishmans, written by Shinji Sato. The song first appeared on the group's fifth studio album, 空中キャンプ, where it appears as the opening track.

In Pool Volume 10, several members of Fishmans discuss the track:

Sato: I'm not sure what to say... I like how there's no undulations, no wavering. I love the feeling of never stopping. The lyrics have many changes, but the rhythm and melody don't change. Thanks, that's all!
Motegi: "Long before..." That's how I see Sato-kun. Because we don't usually see each other in everyday life (laughs). But actually, the lyrics of the song were inspired by a poem sent to a bulletin here.
Sato: The lyrics are from a bulletin - the one we sent to fan club members.
Motegi: I know that! The number one newsletter.
Sato: I need to check the catalogue number on that specific issue - I'm sure it'll sell now.
Motegi: I need to check too. I know the distribution is already starting - those who recognize it already know it was from a Neri member.
Kashiwabara: People are going to say things like, "oh, that's the one for sure."
Neri representative: But I'm sure the members are happy.
Sato: Isn't that right? Thank you!

Note 2: The use of "toton" seems to be mimicking the sound of knocking on a door. It doesn't translate to anything in particular.
Japanese English

[VERSE 1]

[VERSE 1]
Her life is beginning now
I've been here for a while, laying on a big sofa bed
The happiness of always being by your side
In a way it's like that, in a way it's a lonely thing

[VERSE 2]
You know that girl, who stares out into space at night
Living alone in a quiet room
On a cold night, she wanders alone
I gently knock, toton, toton
How are you?

[VERSE 3]
Seasons pass by, and we grow old
Even yesterday was long ago
She's laughing at me, like she's mocking me
I remember it well, she's laughing at me
She's laughing so, so, so sadly
Her eyes are lonely like a stray dog

[VERSE 4]
The night goes on with a lonely shadow cast over me
I'm dreaming of glittering illusions
But I guess I've forgotten, I've forgotten
But I guess I've forgotten, I've forgotten
