Corduroy's Mood is the first EP by Fishmans. It was first released on November 7, 1991. This would be the only self-produced work Fishmans would release over their career until 2016's I Dub Fish. According to the band, Corduroy's Mood is intended to evoke a "feeling of winter", as well as being described as "like if Christmas and Valentine's Day came together". Fishmans' website points out あの娘が眠ってる as being a "generational hit", noting it as being the standout track on the EP.

Aside from maxi-singles, it is the only EP to be released by the band in their active years. On Fishmans' website, Corduroy's Mood is not listed as an EP, rather, it is referred to as a "Mini Album".

Trivia

• According to a post-show discussion Kensuke Ojima had in 2018 unrelated to Fishmans, Corduroy's Mood would essentially serve as a self-inspiration for the band going forward, meaning they would look to the EP for guidance on further musical endeavors in terms of general musical direction.
