Sugar Yoshinaga (also known as suGar Yoshinaga, born 吉永 もとこ or Motoko Yoshinaga; November 11th, year unknown) is a Japanese musician specializing in guitar, born in Fukuoka, Japan. She's most famous for her work in founding rock group Buffalo Daughter.

Yoshinaga was born in a household that had a diverse musical taste, and she started playing piano as early as age 4. Growing up, Yoshinaga took a liking to Western rock music more than her parents, who had a taste for classical and jazz music. At age 11 she got her first acoustic guitar, and at age 12 she bought her first electric guitar. Her first musical work was in rock band Chance Operation, whose first album Open Ground released in 1985, and then rock band Havana Exotica, whose first album released in 1990. Sometime during the mid-90s, Yoshinaga would participate in the formation of Buffalo Daughter, releasing their first album in 1996. This would be the most famous band Yoshinaga would participate in full-time.

Aside from Buffalo Daughter, Yoshinaga is more recently known to hold membership in rock groups Metalchicks and Halo Orbit. She has also been known to frequent sessions with musicians or bands like Air, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Cornelius and others since the 90s. Yoshinaga briefly appeared in Fishmans' recording repertoire in 1994 to assist in recording their fourth album Orange in the absence of Kensuke Ojima, who'd just left the band. Oddly, she also appears for Slow Days off of their fifth album 空中キャンプ, which may be evidence that the song was one of the first recorded for the album. When Yoshinaga left the group, she was replaced by support musician Shinya Kogure. Nowadays, Yoshinaga records many TV advertisement songs for various companies, including the likes of Panasonic, Mercedes-Benz, Galaxy Mobile and others. She also maintains active social media accounts online, such as on Twitter.
