Walking in the Rhythm is the third and final maxi-single released by Fishmans, as well as being their thirteenth single overall. The original song does not appear on the project, instead it comprises of four remixes created by ZAK all functioning together as a cohesive project, similar in execution to their sixth album Long Season, although this single is far more sparse. Its length is comparable to that of an album.

Trivia

• The "prototype mix" is the version of Walking in the Rhythm performed on 98.12.28 男達の別れ, not the original, as well as being the mix that the according music video is based around.
• This maxi-single would be released only three days before the 1-year anniversary of Long Season's release on the 25th.
• The single would later be re-issued on 12" vinyl inside the vinyl boxset Fishmans Rock Festival. This is the only pressing of the single on vinyl.
